The construction and engineering industries have historically been male-dominated, with women representing only a small portion of the workforce. However, there are ongoing efforts to enhance gender diversity and inclusivity within these sectors. One such initiative is the Moving Females in Constructing and Engineering 2024 shortlist, which aims to showcase the accomplishments and contributions of women in these traditionally male-dominated fields. This shortlist serves as a platform to highlight the inspiring stories and achievements of women who are breaking barriers and reshaping the industry, setting an example for future generations of female professionals in construction and engineering.
The nominees for the Moving Females In Constructing and Engineering (IWICE) Awards 2024 have recently been announced. The award ceremony, hosted by Constructing Data along with sister titles New Civil Engineer and Ground Engineering, is scheduled to take place on September 17th. This event is designed to celebrate women and organizations that are actively promoting gender diversity within the built environment sector.
